NEOSTAR wanted to decrease the traffic in their studio, where people who wanted to sell their car had to come for a 360° car photo shooting. NEOSTAR would also manually mark inspection dots referring to damage points or parts with additional equipment.
They supported the idea of creating a platform that enables car sellers to photograph cars outside of the center, saving employees' time and workload.
NEOSTAR wanted a solution that can be accessed from every cell phone. The most important thing for them was providing an excellent user experience to platform users while retaining high-quality photos. Like every other part of the platform, the image capturing module had to be user-friendly and intuitive.
NEOSTAR is primarily a trust between car sellers and car buyers and then the first European digital platform connecting the seller and the buyer. The platform is continually upgraded with emerging technologies to ensure the truth on the used car market.
As part of the Zubak Group, leading companies in the Croatian market to sell and maintain the VW Group motor vehicles, NEOSTAR can't afford inefficient business processes, so reaching bonsai.tech for designing an image capturing module was the right thing to do.

We developed a back-end service that seamlessly integrates into the image-taking process that allows people to take professional photos of their car by following simple steps. Pursuing the idea of minimizing necessary user interaction, we created a system that automatically marks inspection dots on every image where that point is seen after just one tap.
*The mobile application was developed by the NEOSTAR 2.0 team following the workflow designed in collaboration with us.
The image-taking module operates on AI laws. The module generates a layer with a convenient white transparent car as a photo shooting guidance based on specific car information.
It comes naturally to people to line up two cars - the real one with the white one while taking photos. The layer helps app users to realize where they need to stand to experience a pleasant photo shooting.
To discreetly highlight a car, an image-taking module applies a filter on photos that slightly blurs the car's surroundings. The vehicle retains sharpness, and potential buyers automatically focus on it when sifting through car photos.
While identifying inspection dots, be they damage or a feature, AI recognition saves users from excessive clicks. When a user marks a point on one photo, the same dot automatically shows up on the rest of the pictures where it can be seen.
In the case of damage, the AI suggests only car regions in proximity with tagged dots and minimizes necessary user engagement.
We managed to meet the NEOSTAR aspiration by enabling an intelligent 360° vehicle view. Car sellers can photograph their cars on parking lots, and NEOSTAR employees are left with more time to focus on the final car check.
